Where do I begin? First off, the band looked like they had just raided the Sir Wicket $99 suit rack, but that's beside the point. I get sick and tired of hearing the same old Louis Prima covers and the same old neo-swing versions of big band tunes. The bass player makes his presence known with his o' so authentic bright teal P-bass and the singer has the stage presence of a Vegas lounge act that had just one too many.

Musically, there is pretty much one word that describes these guys: SLOPPY. The highlight of the evening was when they played Prima's Sing, Sing, Sing starting on all different beats, not exactly the most pleasent sound to grace my ears. These guys seemed to be pretty nice but musically they need to get a clue. If I were to offer any advise to them it would be to stop trying to sound like every other neo-swing band out there. Lose the punk drum beats and at least attempt to play jazz.

I just saw the worst, stinking, shittiest band that calls themselves "The Swingin' Deacons"!!!

The bass player plays a Fender P-bass, everyone has long hair, the horn players look like they've been up on crack for days, and the singer wears his pants up his ass with a wallet chain hanging out.

They attempted the typical covers of Louie Prima we've all heard way to much, but they can't even play them!!! I'm really sorry to say this, but this band is a disgrace to the word "swing".
