| Since its opening night on October 29, 1940, the Hollywood Palladium has attracted as many as 6,750 dancers in one evening to see such legendary big bands as Tommy Dorsey, Glenn Miller, Artie Shaw, Les Brown, Harry James, and Stan Kenton.
